More than 70% of first-time applicants fail to meet our criteria to become a ‘Qualified’ contractor on the Contractors.Direct portal. The Due Diligence process is incredibly stringent and is designed to ensure that only the most trustworthy, dependable and capable contractors make the list.

There are 3 phases to our Due Diligence Process: documentation checks, client references and site inspections. All new applicants are pre-screened and warned that they will be interviewed, vetted and monitored. This alone deters many substandard contractors. Those who are happy to continue will be asked to provide proof that their trade license and insurance meets Contractors.Direct’s requirements. Next, applicants will need to supply at least 5 references of previous clients to be contacted by us for feedback on their experience with the contractor. Lastly, if all the above criteria are met, our professional inspectors will inspect 2 completed sites to grade the workmanship and quality, as well as paying a visit to one live site to score the contractor’s health and safety standards.

Contractors who score 90% or above in our Due Diligence process will be added to the Contractors.Direct portal and gain access to thousands of qualified opportunities.
