Since 2012, Barry has been dedicated to raising awareness and educating students, parents, and teachers about cybersafety, cyberbullying prevention, cybersecurity, and online reputation across the UK, Ireland, and the UAE.

When he was a digital agency owner, Barry noticed a growing need for accessible guidance as clients increasingly sought advice as parents rather than professionals. There were innumerable meetings where the business focus took 20 minutes and the rest of the hour was spent on how this impacted the business owners children's use of the digital space. It became obvious there was a huge gap in the market - that gap was actually the delta between what mum and dad knew about the digital space and what their children knew.

Using his deep technical knowledge of how the systems are created, how the platforms and algorithms work, he created relatable content based workshops. Translating digispeak into actionable easy to understand steps that children, parents and care givers can understand and implement.

Helping children and young people understand their digital environment, parents get a more informed view of their digital native's world and help families reconnect and communicate is the prime directive of Beat The Cyberbully
